About this instrument

This exceptionally well-preserved violin by Friedrich Kochendörfer is in outstanding, virtually as-new condition. The instrument is free from cracks and repairs and retains both its original brand stamp and original label.

Particularly impressive is the beautifully figured cloud maple, whose lively markings lend the instrument a distinctly refined appearance. The luminous golden-orange oil varnish accentuates the attractive figure of the wood, making this violin an especially handsome and distinguished example.

Tonally, it impresses with an open, brilliant and soloistic sound. Its response is exceptionally easy and immediate, with clear projection, while also offering the player considerable tonal flexibility.

An outstanding violin both tonally and visually, preserved in exceptional original condition—an especially fine example from the workshop of Friedrich Kochendörfer.
